H.E.R.O.E.S. Care
H.E.R.O.E.S. Care (HC) began in 2003, as a nonprofit whose mission is to meet the needs of Active Military, Veterans, and their Families; before, during and after deployment. In our two core programs, we served over 5,000 people in 2025 at The Mission Depot which offers all new clothing, suits, and nonperishable grocery items for free. We expanded our counseling program from 1 part-time counselor in 2025 to 4 in 2026 to meet the skyrocketing suicide rates of our military and first responders. Additionally, HC also provides benefits guidance, financial aid, overseas care packages, toys for the holidays, natural disaster and support for partner charities. Like the military, we are ready, where and when needed. Thank you R.E.A. Homes, LLC, for supporting our mission and giving back to those who have sacrificed so much for all of us.
Habitat for Humanity St. Louis
Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing in St. Louis. This is accomplished by a comprehensive program that helps families who are determined to proactively better their lives by investing time and effort into actually building and owning a home. This is the hope that Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis builds in the hearts of many deserving people.
Ladue Education Foundation
Ladue Education Foundation is a nonprofit educational foundation led by a volunteer board whose mission is to advance the excellence of the Ladue School District. We support unique educational programs, provide grants to schools, and fund awards to students and teachers. Our grants inspire creative approaches to learning, from pre-K through high school. We give our students world-class learning opportunities through innovative educational programs that cannot be realized through traditional school district funding alone.
The Backstoppers
Started in 1959, The BackStoppers provides needed financial assistance and support to the spouses and dependent children of all police officers, firefighters and volunteer firefighters, and publicly-funded paramedics and EMTs in our coverage area who have lost their lives or suffered a catastrophic injury performing their duty.
The BackStoppers recognizes the tremendous sacrifices that these public servants make every day when they go to work. We understand the burdens placed on surviving spouses and children when tragedies occur. We believe our community has an obligation to care for the loved ones of those who have protected us. We accept the responsibility to make that happen.
REFAB
Refab creates training and employment opportunities through the sustainable practices of deconstruction and refabrication. Rather than use machines to demolish buildings and landfill perfectly good materials, we use people power to carefully disassemble structures and make quality, affordable materials available to people like you.
The Fit and Food Connection
The Fit and Food Connection (FAFC) provides healthy living resources through nutrition and physical fitness to families in need. Since 2013, FAFC has provided assistance to bring good and fitness together with group and individual fitness classes, nutrition programs, emergency groceries, food pantry, and community gardening opportunities. The connection of food provision, lifestyle programming and coaching, and education is a dynamic solution to address general poverty’s impact on health.
