R.E.A. Homes Summer 2017 Newsletter

Summer has arrived and REA Homes is going strong. We are proud to share that our High Performance Luxury Homes℠ were featured in the spring 2017 edition of the nationally published Modern Home Builder magazine. This magazine features interviews with the home building industry’s leaders and showcases their recent homes.

The Custom Luxury article looks at R.E.A. Homes’ commitment to better building practices. We finished a home in Frontenac and are making excellent progress on a home in West St. Louis County. In addition, we have four more homes in the design stage that will break ground by the end of 2017.

R.E.A. Homes continues providing and improving our High Performance Luxury Homes℠ and staying involved in the community. We thank everyone for the support we have received.

Luxury Custom Home in Frontenac

We completed a beautiful 8,000+ square foot home in Frontenac. This unique home has a horseshoe shape design that wraps around an outdoor pool, thus creating indoor/outdoor spaces that bring the whole family together. Traditional and stately in the front and “party” in the back, some of this contemporary home’s best features include:

  • NanaWall Doors: These special glass doors open like an accordion connecting the back of the home to the pool area.
  • Custom, three-story spiral staircase
  • Modern master bath
  • Three-sided fireplace
  • See-through wine cellar
  • Custom Staircase 1
  • Custom Staircase 3
  • Custom spiral staircase with white marble floors
  • Top view of a modern, custom staircase

New Healthy Home on the Horizon

R.E.A. Homes is excited about our newest project in west St. Louis County! In collaboration with our client, we are pioneering this effort to standards that go well beyond nationally recognized healthy home guidelines. While all of our homes are built with a focus on comfort and health, this client requested that we look at literally every ingredient going into the home.

Once again we are using pre-manufactured wall panels from our partners at Mattingly Lumber & Millwork. These more-precise wall panels reduce framing construction time by roughly 30 percent, thus reducing wall materials’ exposure to the outside elements. Using wall panels also eliminates wasted wood, which translates to less waste to the landfill.

Check out the progress we have made on this groundbreaking healthy home:

Community Involvement

R.E.A. Homes helped sponsor the third annual Food Rocks concert. The Fit and Food Connection (FAFC) partnered with Urban Harvest and Metro Market STL to hold this concert on the Urban Harvest Food Roof Top. These organizations work together to grow and distribute local, organic food to community members who don’t have access to healthy, affordable food.

Run by co-directors Joy Millner and Gabrielle Cole in St. Louis, FAFC provides healthy living resources through nutrition and physical fitness to families in need. To learn more about this incredible organization visit their website.

Coming Soon

July is a big month for R.E.A. Homes. To celebrate R.E.A. Homes’ 10 years of custom home building, we will be releasing our new and FREE eBook. We appreciate your continued support!
